The Town of Swayzee will be holding its community-wide Light Up Swayzee Christmas lights competition again this year!
Decorate your home with Christmas lights and enter our contest with a chance to win a CASH prize! And this year, we are giving out TWO prizes!

- Town Council Favorite - $100 cash prize
- Community Favorite - $100 cash prize (voting will be available online)
Registration:
- Registration forms must be completed and turned in by 12 p.m. on Friday, December 8th (per email or office)
- Forms may be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to the Swayzee Town Clerk's office at 213 S Washington St., Swayzee, IN 46986.
Judging and Voting
- For the Town Council Favorite Award, the Town Council will judge entries from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20th.
- For the Community Favorite Award, online voting will be available until 12 a.m. midnight on Wednesday, December 20th.
Contest Rules:
- All entries must have a Swayzee address (includes Sims and country areas as well).
- All entries understand that their property will be photographed and these photos will be posted on Swayzee's Facebook page and website for voting.
- All entries understand that their residence will be listed on a map of displays that will be advertised on Swayzee's Facebook page and website.
- The council's vote and community vote will be final.
- An entry can not win both categories. In the event that the Community Favorite is the same as the Town Council Favorite, the entry that receives the next amount of votes will win Community Favorite award.
- Winners will be announced on Swayzee's Facebook page and website after the judging. Judges will hand-deliver prizes to winners.
- Entries must take into consideration their local environment and neighbors and ensure their displays represent no danger to the general public. Consideration must be given to noise and the levels of light emitted by your display.
