Swayzee awarded ocra grant

Thank you to all of our residents that completed the OCRA survey! As a result of your answers and the hard work of our utility team, the office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) has awarded Swayzee $90,000!

With this grant, the Town of Swayzee will be conducting a 3-utility study (wastewater, water, and stormwater) to complete an overall analysis of the systems to better determine a list of priorities for repairs and reconstruction. The Town sees the wastewater treatment plant as having the greatest need for construction given its age. However, there will also be planning for water plant upgrades/repairs as well as options for new construction of storm drains.
